Tempest Island is an eastern map. It features a collection of small islands, three of which close together, forming the logistics map. It has only a bridge connection to Allod's Bight to the south-west, but the map also has small strips of land connected to Godcrofts. Formerly a Skirmish map, the old map lay-out can be seen in the main islands, albeit rotated 90 degrees.

Update History[ | ]

The map was added in Update 0.8 as a Skirmish map, being the smallest of the bunch. Beside that, it was also unique in that it had pre-built Howitzers located in strategic positions for each side to use. There were three howitzers near each side's Port Base, and three howitzers located on each side of the Iris.

Tempest Island was retired in Update 0.14. A modified version was used for the first Dead Harvest event.

It was reintroduced into the game in Update 0.20 (0.20.17.9), after it was redesigned in Update 0.21 to allow border travel from the mainland; it was also one of the three maps allowing for the construction of the new Motorboat.

When the Skirmish game mode was retired, the maps were joined onto the then connected world map in Update 0.23.

With Update 0.29 Border Forts has been removed and been repurposed as Zone Bases.

Hollow Book
LoreIcon3
At first glance, it appears to be a simple book. As you shift it between your hands, you feel something clanking around inside.

You tap the cover; It’s hollow.

Inside you find a hole carved out between the pages, revealing a generous amount of dried jerky bound with cedar twine. It smells delicious, but you know it’s worth too much to consume. Though your hunger might betray you.

It’s been ages since you’ve smelled decent meat.

Carden Callahan, the fourth son of our first Archon, Iain Callahan, took it upon his shoulders to quell the riots in Whedon’s Row. The soldiers were reluctant to support him initially, due to his lack of experience in matters of warfare.

As unrest spread southwest to Ogmaran, Callahan, leading a small force of his own men, infiltrated the town and held it without shedding a drop of blood. Deft in the art of diplomacy, his silver tongue earned him a bevy of new followers. They commemorated his leadership with a name befitting the son of a legend.

Thus, the Brigade of the Eight Sons was formed. Callahan led them into battle, proudly bearing the honour of his brothers until his death at the hands of Velian rebels.
