The Sledge Hammer is a heavy material collection tool only obtained via production in a Workshop. It is an essential tool for faster collection of Scrap, Sulfur and Fuel and the only tool to be able to collect Components which are refined into Refined Materials. Unlike the Hammer it is not able to be used for building or upgrading.

The Sledge Hammer has a slow swing speed when compared the swiftness of the hammer due to this the Sledge Hammer is around 33% more efficient to use when looking at time. A Scrap Node takes 4.50 seconds to deplete with a Sledge Hammer and 6.60 seconds with a Hammer.

• The Sledge Hammer allows for more efficient farming of materials at double the amount of a Hammer:
  • Collects 10 Scrap per hit.
  • Collects 3 Components per hit. (18.2 seconds per node)
  • Collects 4 Sulfur per hit.
  • Collects 4 Fuel per hit.
• As the tool is very heavy, it is best kept to players who are running material collection and logistics.
• Does not act as a melee weapon. You must use your fist

Technology Parts

The Sledge Hammer collects more resources per hit but requires less hits to deplete a node, this means that typically the Sledge Hammer will have a lower drop rate of Technology Parts when used on Scrap as opposed to the hammer. To prioritise tech farming and receive more tech it is best to use a hammer.

Usage

1. Equip the Sledge Hammer
2. Make sure you are standing up.
3. Press LMB to collect materials from nodes.
   • You are also able to just hold LMB instead of repeatedly clicking.
