A special Garrisoned House that has been modified to act as a base.

Description[ | ]

The Safe House is a world structure that can be found in all towns and surrounding areas. It looks and acts like a Garrisoned House but also provides inventory, stockpile, and spawn point like every base. However players can only spawn here if the Provisional Garrison IconUpgradesProvisionalGarrison upgrade is unlocked.

Like Garrisoned Houses, the safe house has three tiers. Each tier increases damage resistance and at tier 3 the house fires 20mm rounds at vehicles instead of 7.62mm rifle rounds. A house's tier is represented by the reinforcement on the window: Cloth for Tier 1, Wood Planks for Tier 2, and Iron Case for Tier 3.

It can activate the AI of defenses within 100m if it has the relevant base upgrades unlocked.

It is a Forward Spawn Point: you can respawn but not deploy there from Home Region and also can't build Cranes or Construction Vehicles near it.

When the nearby Town Base is destroyed, all players that are assigned to it will have their spawn points migrated to the connected Safe House with the most Soldier Supplies stockpiled. As such, Safe Houses serve as a backup to their Town Base.

It provides map intel if its Radio Station FacilitiesRadioStation upgrade is unlocked.

When its Artillery Shelter FacilitiesArtilleryShelter upgrade is unlocked the Safe House can only be destroyed from the interior. Outside damage does nothing when structure has less than 30% hp left.

Unlike Town Bases and Relic Bases, the stockpile of Safe Houses start empty at the beginning of a war.

Construction[ | ]

The rebuilding requirement for a Safe House are the same as for Garrisoned Houses:

  • Your faction controls the Town Base
  • The Town Base has unlocked the Occupied Town IconUpgradesOccupiedTown upgrade
  • The Safe House is in range of the Town Base or another Safe House with active AI (either through Small Garrison IconUpgradesSmallGarrison upgrade or Provisional Garrison IconUpgradesProvisionalGarrison upgrade and 10+ player spawns assigned)

Then you can rebuild the nearby Safe Houses with a Construction Vehicle (press E) for 250 Basic Materials.

Tier Upgrade[ | ]

Like Garrisoned Houses the Safe Houses possess a three tier system that increases the building's damage resistance. The Safehouse must unlock the Small Garrison IconUpgradesSmallGarrison base upgrade before it can be upgraded to Tier 2, and the Large Garrison IconUpgradesLargeGarrison for Tier 3. The upgrade cost is the same as the construction cost, 250 Basic Materials for each tier. Alternatively it can be upgraded if the Town Base or other Safe House it is connected to has been upgraded to that next tier.

Prevents nearby structure decay by consuming Garrison Supplies from the stockpile. Rate of consumption is 2 per hour per structure.

Required to upgrade Base to Tier 2.

Each Safe House upgrades changes the appearance of the structure on the inside and some even on the outside.

  1. Radio Station Can be seen by the radio on the table inside and the antenna attached to the outside structure.
  2. Artillery Shelter Can be seen by the iron plate cover around the windows and the iron mantle around the inner shelter structure.
  3. Garrison Can be seen by the unpacked supplies near the inner shelter door.
