Region Zones are subdivision of Regions.

Description

Each region in the world is divided into zones that can be claimed by either faction. Region zone perimeters are shown on the map, visually denoting the front line and all the territory owned by each faction into the world map. Each Region Zone has a single World Base (Town Base MapIconTownBase1 or Relic Base MapIconRelicBase). The faction that owns the base owns the region zone. A region zone is colored green if owned by the Colonial faction, blue if owned by the Warden faction, and has no color if the base is destroyed. Ownership of a given zone allows you to check the content of resource fields in it by putting your cursor on it on the map.

At the start of a war, each region zone that starts under your faction's control will be considered "Friendly territory" and the other zones "Neutral / Enemy territory" for the rest of the war. This status can be checked by hovering your mouse over a zone on the map. This status influences how fast bases in the zone will unlock their upgrades.
