The Highlander is a Warden Armored Car with tracks; the tracks offer increased mobility over the regular AC, especially off-road and on snowy and mountainous terrain. Even though tracks often suggest hard armour, the Highlander has the same light armor as the standard AC.
The vehicle's tracks cannot be disabled, unlike every other tracked combat vehicles.
The Highlander movement isn't affected by Snow Storms. It is the ideal MG mounted vehicle during snow storms because the Half-Tracks, Landing APCs, Field Guns and the open top Armored Car variants cannot be realistically used then. This leaves the Highlander and standard ACs as the only usable combat vehicles during snow storms before tanks are unlocked.
