Through Artillery, players can permanently change the world.
Artillery bombardment transforms the landscape:
- Adds craters
- Ruins trees
- Destroy trees completely
- Muddy terrain (Compounded by Rain Storms)
Structures built on terrain that's been bombarded are more vulnerable to damage. The effect depends on how bombarded the terrain is, which is visually represented by the look and color of the ground (light brown, dark brown, grey, dark grey). The increased vulnerability varies among damage types.
Heavy Artillery can leave a town in ruins over time:
- Garrisoned Houses convert to a ruined state, but not Safe Houses.
