A device used to intercept enemy radio broadcasts transmitted from nearby sources.
In-game description

The Listening Kit is a large item placed on Tripods that allows Factions to steal Map Intelligence from enemy Watch Towers and other intelligence producing structures.

Description[ | ]

The Listening Kit must be placed within 80 meters of an intelligence producing structure, including Watch Towers, Observation Towers, Observation Bunkers, Light Utility Vehicles or Radio Backpacks. When placed, the Listening Kit will copy any intelligence within that 80 meters. It constantly emits a soft "Beep Beep" which can be heard from up to 35 meters away helping the enemy find it. The listening kit and its tripod fully decay after 48 hours. Decay can occur much faster if placed in the fast decay zone near a Region border.

The listening kit's decay could technically be prevented by being placed in range of a friendly base but that would defeat its purpose.

The enemy intelligence producing structures that are spied on appear on your map and their icon is blinking.

Since tripods and the item mounted on them are not faction locked, you can disassemble enemy listening kits you find and place them again to switch their faction to your own.

Like other tripod mounted items Listening Kits can be hidden in bushes.

It is one of the few Large Items that cannot be stored in a Material Pallets.
