This is a list of all the damage types in the game and their effects.
Light Kinetic
Effects:
- Deals no damage to structures (except Fire Pit)
- Very little damage against armored vehicles
Used by:
8mm • .44 • Buckshot • 9mm SMG • 7.62mm • 7.92mm • 8.5mm • A3 Harpa Fragmentation Grenade
Heavy Kinetic
Effects:
- Able to damage certain structures (see the last column in the list of structures)
- Effective against Light Armored Vehicles.
- Very little damage against Heavy Armored Vehicles.

Anti-Tank Kinetic
Effects:
- Effective against all vehicles
- Deals no damage to structures
Used by:
Shrapnel
Effects:
- Always makes the infantry targets bleed
- Deals no damage to structures and little to vehicles.
Used by:
Bomastone Grenade • Mortar Shrapnel Shell
Flare
Effects:
- Illuminate an area, revealing the soldiers in it
- Deals no damage
Used by:
Poisonous Gas
Effects:
- Injure and/or bleed soldiers regardless of cover (inside a structure or vehicle) if they don't wear a gas mask with filter

High Explosive
Effects:
- Reduced damage against Trenches.
- Less effective against armored vehicles

Demolition
Effects:
- Very effective against structures
- Less effective against armored vehicles

250mm • 300mm Round • Alligator Charge • Hydra's Whisper
Armour Piercing
Effects:
- Higher chance to penetrate armor

Anti-Tank Explosive
Effects:
- Cannot be deflected by tank armor
- Deals no damage to structures
