This is a list of all the damage types in the game and their effects. See Damage Resistance to check how each damage type is mitigated by various armor types.

Light Kinetic Light Kinetic Damage Icon[ | ]

Description:

Standard damage types for use against infantry.

Effects:

  • Deals no damage to structures (except Fire Pit and structure blueprints)
  • Deals 99% less damage to armored vehicles
  • Will always penetrate armored vehicles but does not deplete armor.

Heavy Kinetic Heavy Kinetic Damage Icon[ | ]

Description:

Special damage type which is extremely effective against infantry, and can be effective against certain structures and vehicles.

Effects:

  • Deals 87% less damage to T1 structures
  • Deals no damage to higher tiered structures
  • Deals 40% less damage to Unarmored Vehicles
  • Deals 85% less damage to Light Armored Vehicles
  • Deals 99% less damage to Heavy Armored Vehicles
  • Will always penetrate armored vehicles but does not deplete armor

Used by:

Anti-Tank Kinetic AT Kinetic Damage Icon[ | ]

Description:

Damage type designed to be effective against stripping armor from armored vehicles or disabling subsystems.

Effects:

  • Has a .33x modifier on the chance to disable subsystems (normally made up for in fire rate)
  • Deals 50% less damage to Unarmored Vehicles
  • Ignores damage resistances of Armored Vehicles
  • Can penetrate and deplete armor
  • Deals no damage to structures

Description:

Ammo type designed for area denial against infantry.

Effects:

  • Always makes infantry targets bleed
  • Deals no damage to structures
  • Deals 40% less damage to Unarmored Vehicles
  • Deals 85% less damage to Light Armored Vehicles
  • Deals 99% less damage to Heavy Armored Vehicles
  • Will always penetrate armored vehicles but does not deplete armor

Description:

Damage type designed for visibility support at night.

Effects:

  • Illuminates an area, revealing the soldiers in it
  • Deals no damage

Used by:

Poisonous Gas GA Icon[ | ]

Description:

Damage type for use of area denial for both infantry and vehicles.

Effects:

  • Injures and/or bleeds soldiers regardless of cover (inside a structure or vehicle) if they don't wear a gas mask with filter
  • Deals no damage to structures or vehicles

Explosive Explosive Damage Icon[ | ]

Description:

A general use damage type effective against both structures and vehicles.

Effects:

  • Deals 25% less damage to T1 Structures
  • Deals 25% less damage to T2 Structures
  • Deals 75% less damage to T2b Structures
  • Deals 75% less damage to T3 Structures
  • Deals 60% less damage to T1 Garrison Houses
  • Deals 80% less damage to T2 Garrison Houses
  • Deals 90% less damage to T3 Garrison Houses
  • Deals 75% less damage to Trenches.
  • Deals 30% less damage to Unarmored Vehicles
  • Deals 15% less damage to Armored Vehicles
  • Can penetrate and deplete armor
  • Can disable subsystems

Used by:

High Explosive HE Icon[ | ]

Description:

Specialized damage type designed to be more effective against structures, but less effective against vehicles and trenches.

Effects:

  • Deals 95% less damage to Trenches
  • Deals 70% less damage to vehicles
  • Deals 25% less damage to T2 structures
  • Deals 50% less damage T2b structures
  • Receives the same damage mitigations as the Explosive damage type otherwise.
  • Can "Ruin" Garrison Houses preventing them to be rebuilt
  • Will always penetrate armored vehicles but does not deplete armor

Demolition Demolition Damage Icon[ | ]

Description:

Highly specialized anti-structure demolition type damage. Best for use against fortifications with a high damage mitigation like concrete or Garrison Houses.

Effects:

  • Ignores any damage resistances from all structures, garrison houses, town halls, relics, etc. (Will always do full damage)
  • Deals 70% less damage to vehicles
  • Will always penetrate armored vehicles but does not deplete armor

Armour Piercing AP Icon[ | ]

Description:

Specialized ammo designed for use against Armored Vehicles.

Effects:

  • Can penetrate and deplete armor
  • A 1.5x modifier to the chance to penetrate armor
  • Deals 75% less damage to T1, T2 structures
  • Deals 87% less damage to T2b structures
  • Deals 93% less damage to T3 structures
  • Deals 75% less damage to T1 Garrison Houses
  • Deals 85% less damage to T2 Garrison Houses
  • Deals 93% less damage to T3 Garrison Houses
  • Ignores Damage resistances for all vehicles

Used by:

Anti-Tank Explosive AT Explosive Damage Icon[ | ]

Description:

Specialized ammo designed for use against Armored Vehicles.

Effects:

  • Cannot be deflected by tank armor
  • Does not deplete tank armor
  • Has an an additional chance to track tanks depending on the ammo type
  • Deals no damage to structures
  • Ignores damage resistances for all vehicles

Used by:

Incendiary Incendiary Damage Icon[ | ]

Description:

A damage type effective against infantry and unarmored vehicles as well as supporting the destruction of structures.

Effects:

  • Deals no "direct" damage to structures or armored vehicles
    • prevents structures from being repaired
    • Applies Burning which deals damage over time
