The Component Mine is a World Resource Mine that produces Components when fueled with either Diesel or Petrol. It requires less Player work than manually harvesting resources in a Component Field but produces less resources in comparison.

Construction[ | ]

Component Mines cannot be built. They only exist in locations around the world, visible on the map, that are randomly picked from a set of possible locations at the start of each war. They start in a destroyed state and have to be rebuilt with a Construction Vehicle and Basic Materials in order to be used.

Mining[ | ]

A component mine has a production cycle of 30 seconds. Every cycle the amount of Components produced depends only on the type of fuel used. Diesel produces 9 components ("Low Efficiency") while Petrol produces around 27-30 components ("High Efficiency"). The components produced are stored in the mine's stockpile. If the stockpile's limit of 5000 components is reached the production is paused until some space is made.

Fuel[ | ]

When running it consumes 1L of Fuel per production cycle. It has two 1000L internal tanks, one for Diesel (10 cans worth) and one of Petrol (20 cans worth). A can of Diesel lasts 50 min, a can of Petrol lasts 25 min, and one full internal tank lasts for 8 hours and 20 minutes. If it has both Diesel and Petrol it will consumes the Petrol first.

Refueling[ | ]

It can be refueled either by hand, or by using a Fuel Tanker / Fuel Container. To refuel by hand, equip a Fuel Can, then hold LMB while standing next to the Component Mine. To refuel with a fuel tanker, use the "Refuel Diesel IconAddDiesel" or "Refuel Petrol IconAddPetrol" actions in the Component Mine's inventory.

Collection[ | ]

The Components produced by a Component Mine can be retrieved by hand with a Left Click on the right of the Component Mine's interface, under the "Retrieve Item" section. This will pull one stack of 100 Components out and place them in your inventory. If you drive a Truck you can use Shift + Left Click to retrieve 3 stacks of Components into the inventory of your truck.

Container Collection[ | ]

Container interaction at Mine

Direct Collection

There is an invisible loading area in front of the mine (where the Conveyor Belt comes out of the mine) which allows you to deposit a Resource Container on the ground with a Crane and directly transfer Components into the container with LMB or Shift + LMB. If you have trouble finding where the loading area is you can carry the container with a crane and the crane will show you a gear with an arrow pointing in the direction of the closest loading area.

Tips[ | ]

  • Check a mine's inventory and fuel status from the map by hovering your mouse pointer over the mine's icon.
  • Component Mines are the main source of Components before Sledge Hammers are unlocked. This means it's worth prioritizing this type of mine in the early war to maximize the production of Refined Materials needed to build early combat Vehicles and Flatbed Trucks. The other source, much more expensive and slower, are the Stationary Harvesters.
  • They are neutral structures that both faction can use no matter who rebuilds them.
