— In-game description |
The 40mm shell is the standard shell used in Light Tanks, Medium Tanks, and various Field Guns. Deals explosive damage, and is effective against both Structures and armored vehicles. It is the most expensive shell that uses Explosive Materials. It also receives scaling bonuses to its penetration when closer than 25m and/or at an angle (up to 95 degrees).
Due to its powerful damage to structures, and the most commonly used ammunition in tanks, 40mm shells are always in high demand.
Production[ | ]
40mm shells are produced in a Factory or a Mass Production Factory under the 'Heavy Ammunition' category.
- Due to its high cost, it is recommended to use the MPF whenever possible to produce 40mm shells, as it saves explosive materials
