This classic submachine gun is sturdy and irreplacable as a general tool for close-range engagements. The Pitch Gun earned its namesake from Mesean sailors who employed the weapon to successfully defend against a night raid on the Geraston docks.

“The Pitch Gun” mc.V is a colonial Submachine Gun that serves as a secondary weapon.

Description[]

This gun is a short range SMG. It does not replace a primary weapon in most cases. Its damage is low, requiring 4 or 5 shots to kill, but its fire rate is on par with other SMGs. Its maximum accuracy is mediocre and you lose it all after the first 5 bullets if not using a stable firing position.

Use[]

It's important to remember that the gun does not act as a primary weapon. Its low damage means it requires 4 or 5 shots to kill even when in optimal range, and that's a very short range. Like other secondaries you can move without losing accuracy, but it also lose less accuracy from moving your crosshair or sudden turns. The gun shines in close quarter combat.

Due to its abnormal maximum range relative to its effective range (36m and 16m) and its automatic nature, the gun can be used to suppress and scare enemy soldiers if they don't realise the shots are coming from too far to be any real harm.

Historical Reference[]

The Pitch Gun SMG seems to be based on the MAT-49 Police version with additional heatshielding.
